Overflow Causes define the ISDN clear codes that initiate Alternative Routing. They can be modified by clicking the Overflow causes link in the Routing box on the left sidebar of the DUAL Softswitch Administration System.
The first section of the page shows a table displaying all Overflow Causes (if any) that are currently defined. These are the cause codes that initiate Alternative Routing; that is, the overflow of a call to another carrier, because the original carrier rejected the call or could not be reached. These cause codes can apply to all carriers or to only specific carriers, and this state is recorded in the second column of the table. The final column provides a link to remove the Overflow Cause rule, following your confirmation.
The second section of the page allows you to enter a new Overflow Cause. The form requires two entries and the rule is added when the Continue button is pressed:
ISDN clear code |
Select an ISDN Clear Code that should invoke Alternative Routing. This number should be between 0 and 127. |
Carrier |
The drop down list shows all carriers. The first entry is "[All carriers]". Choose the carrier(s) to which this rule should be applied. |
